The Occupational Rehabilitation Program is designed to help individuals recover from work-related injuries or illness and return to their job safely. The program includes an initial assessment, customized treatment plan, work simulation activities, education and return to work support or graduated return to work planning.
WorkSafeBC sponsored Customized Recovery and Return to Work Program
The Customized Recovery and Return to Work Program includes physical therapists and kinesiologists, with optional supplemental services offered by physicians, counsellors, and/or occupational therapists. The program develops an individualized treatment plan to address the specific needs of each worker and focuses on integrating in-clinic rehabilitation with early return to work opportunities for workers when it is safe and suitable to do so.

The evaluation typically involves assessment of a workers physical abilities using work simulation activities and an evaluation of functional limitations. The evaluation includes a report with recommendations.
